Received a strange call this morning from a man with African accent who claimed to be from Barclays and apparently we had had a meeting in November at my local branch .....not true..straightaway asked to confirm my date of birth, which I said “no thank you” and ended the call.

Said they were calling from Barclays, wanted my security details to be passed to the unknown to me caller for data protection reasons, utter tools that have no grasp of how data protection works... They seem like a phishing scam when they call, so be cautious because they are dangerous criminals hell bent on stealing your hard earned money in a fraudulent way or maybe they are not from the bank after all and are different criminals...

The number is from Barclays I called them back on their actual number and I had open ongoing case.. so is safe just only make sure Barclays can send you verification code sms or on the app
